Say what you like about the booing, but Klopp here is showing more faith in his people than downing street ever does. Maybe the politicians should be more concerned with running the country and solving the multiple crises rather than cracking down on unsporting football fans!
This topic lead me to the comments sections on the express and the telegraph websites. Absolutely full of racist comments, hundreds of them, all upvoting each other. I should probably expect it but I guessed these pages were moderated in some way. Makes some pretty depressing reading.
He said ‘It’s always best to ask the question – why does it happen?’
‘I know our people that well they wouldn’t boo if there’s no reason for it’
Pffft fuck the royals, leeches the lot of them. Good on my fellow redmen for showing we give neither a fuck about the monarchy and the archaic tradition that keep them in their stately homes
I’m no northerner or liv fan, but sorry, I refuse to sing that song or applaud anything to do with the Royals.
The national anthem should be about the country and its people, not one hereditarily privileged tax sponge.
When we become a Republic, like the majority of the modern world, I’ll feel differently.
This is what happens when the country is drowning in poverty. Nobody wants to see reminders of the remnants of an elite ruling class demanding adoration.
Everyone should boo God save the Queen, it’s dreadful.
Fuck the royal family. Liverpool is the only city to collectively say it, but the rest of you lot need to catch up and normalise making royalty unwelcome in your community.
“but 60% of the country is pro monarchy” all that shows is that the UK is a backwards nation when it comes to its upper class. They are not better than you. They haven’t done anything to deserve to rule over you. Being pro hereditary monarchy is simply incorrect, it’s not even subjective.
I read that when wind turbines are installed in the seas off the British coast the companies have to pay £100m’s to the “Crown Estate” for each license. The Queen and royals are literally raking it in and the amount of installed offshore wind is supposed to go from 18GW to 60GW in the next decade – so another billion quid!

So who is raking it in during a cost-of-living crisis?
