Nike has teamed up with the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) to release a limited-edition pair of Air Force 1 Croatia trainers, bringing a fresh and distinctly Croatian twist to one of the world’s most recognisable shoes.

The special-edition model is hand-painted and created as a unique tribute to the Vatreni, featuring the iconic red-and-white Croatian chequerboard, a stylised football motif, the HNS crest, and the powerful message “Najbolja kad je najteže” (“Best when it’s toughest”).

Each pair is individually decorated, making no two shoes exactly the same.

Croatia captain Luka Modrić stars in the promotional campaign, which HNS premiered on Sunday.

Originally released in 1982, Nike’s Air Force 1 was the first basketball shoe to feature the brand’s innovative Air cushioning technology.

Over the decades, it has transitioned from a performance shoe to a global lifestyle icon, known for its clean lines, versatility, and countless collaborations. Today, it remains one of Nike’s most enduring and culturally influential silhouettes.

A limited quantity of the Nike Air Force 1 Croatia trainers is available exclusively through the official HNS shop at shop.hns.family.
