Any idea where I can get these? Bloody love a good retro Christmas decoration but there's always at least one casualty when they do back into the attic.

  2. If you try Mr. Price or Dealz they might be in there, apparently those decorations are coming back this year, probably because the 80’s and 90’s was the last time we felt any kind of natural serotonin.

  3. Asda has them and i bought some on ebay too. They are very long but not as big as the ones from when i was a kids

  5. I actually miss these xmas decorations 😅 yes they’re old fashioned, but they remind me of proper old school xmases of my childhood.

  7. Did all those last year. I dont think anyone else appreciated them, but i was more than happy. Didnt do it this year though, its nice to reminisce occasionally, but you have to move with the times too, no matter how bad they are…

  8. The Range had them. We bought a whole ton last year. Whole house is covered jn them!

  15. There’s a few locally run pound shops that sell these. We call them tacky Christmas foil decorations… and we love them. Very 80s/90s childhood, they need to make a proper comeback, along with full size chocolate bars in a net stocking shaped selection box and proper big tins of Quality Street with foil wrappers!

  18. I’m old enough to remember the earlier generation of ceiling decorations made from fine Crêpe/ tissue paper that folded out accordion-style from cardboard.

    Ceilings were festooned for a month or more with this colourful but highly flammable paper that turned the room into a tinderbox so dangerous that a dry cough could probably set it ablaze.
