Here is a discussion on british tv show with two dudes from Monty Phyton, a bishop and another religious nutjob. It is a fascinating climpse into a really different time. Its not that long ago and i cant describe it any better, but times have changed a lot and the religious arguments do not work in the slightest anymore. I think its worth the watch:
I find it kind of ironic that I first watched Life of Brian in Catholic religious education class. My R.E. teacher at the time was generally quite boring and just had us read Bible verses during class but he still decided to show us that movie of all things…
We banned it because of Catholicism, Norwegians banned it because they couldn’t find their funny bone, we are not the same.
