    Fingers in ears, bread and circuses, short term profits. 

  2. I remember when i was a kid seeing a quote from a native American among these lines:

    “ Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught, and the last stream poisoned, will we realize that we cannot eat money.”

    And i remember i was thinking that it was so far fetched, well, guess what…
