  1. I’m just starting to learn watercolour. This is a sampler of effectively every technique I am trying to learn. I’m assuming you’re a proper pro. This is gorgeous, and your technique is stunning.

Can I ask you how long this painting took, including drying time for the dry on dry layers?

Also, what brushes are you using? The white lines in the paving are so tiny and so precisely laid in place.

Finally, any tips for achieving an even wash over a large area, like your hazy sky that covers effectively half of the paper smoothly, with no tidelines or brush strokes? That invisible gradient is incredible, and I have tried and repeatedly failed to achieve something similar.

  2. This is amazing work, this could easily be in an art gallery

  3. You really capture that look London has on a crisp sunny day, I don’t know how to explain it but it just looks right. Thank you for sharing

  4. This is so lovely! Do you have a website or other paintings?

  7. Your portrayal of the light playing on the pavement and the trees is magical and very authentic. Well done!!
