When it becomes too expensive to live in the civilian world, more will become desperate enough to enlist willingly. They will be paying the government to kill them, in exchange for a paycheck that many won’t ever see.
What a demented country. It’s also not the behavior of a country “winning” anything. They may be making slow gains in Ukraine, but they can’t afford the final price for much longer. There are cracks everywhere.

Never underestimate Russia’s capacity for a revolution. Granted, their revolts look different than ours. You won’t likely see the peasantry itself marching against the kremlin. No minute men, no citizen soldiers standing against tyranny. But the right group of angry entitled wealthy people has changed (or come close to changing) the Russian government many times before. In fact it’s pretty much the only thing that ever has.
There’s labor shortage in Russia. Wages are rising. Prices are rising. Now taxes are rising, so the average can’t profit from higher wages. They’ll have an inflation at their hands they can’t control, especially with the key interest rates already hovering well above 15%.
Putin can’t get enough money from oil anymore, so he takes it from his citizens. Companies can’t invest and slowly fall apart. Russian war economy can’t last forever like that.

That means oligarchs get 20% of that, Putin gets 25% and maybe the MoD gets 5%
It’s very Russian to give you a signing bonus then tax it at 50%
All of these problems can be solved with just one bullet.

Energy cost was super cheap before the war, hence even doubling them would by far not be as troubling as the headline makes it up.

Increasing 2% is not 50%. Get your facts right instead of just glazing Ukraine. And believing everything that comes out of Ukraine.
Although this is a Ukrainian circle jerk sub, that removes posts where Russia Does something. Whether it’s FPV strike on Ukrainian infantry or capturing a Ukrainian town.
