  5. Russia couldn’t even take Kiev. The Russian military has incompetent leadership. Even with conscription it’s taken 3 years to achieve very little. The idea he could take on NATO is utterly laughable.

    He said that they aren’t planning to have a war with Europe, but if Europe [[would decide to fight with them, and will start a war they’ll be ready “right now”…/then he rambles a bit about how Europe is not Ukraine and there they won’t have to use “surgical methods/…if Europe will start a war – a situation where there will be nobody for Russia to make peace with can happen.]]

    He basically hints at nukes if attacked, which they do from time to time, he doesn’t threaten attacking Europe.

  13. I wouldn’t underestimate the damage that even a failed counterstrike / attack would do. Europe (EU) doesn’t want that.
    Look at Ukraine, lot of space, less densely populated, a LOT of damage and a lot of dead people.
    Invasion via Latvia or attacks into Lithuania or Poland would be devastating.
    I doubt Putin could really carry it off, but Evan failure on his part equals death and destruction on Europe

    The EU finally has a chance to stomp the shit out of Russia and will be able to do it VERY quickly. I would put 10 internet bucks on Russia’s military breaking in less than a week.

  33. If the EU sent an expeditionary force into Ukraine and spanked the Russians it would out an end to this bullshit. Of course there is the risk that it would go horribly wrong, but then at least the EU would know what adjustments are needed.
