  2. He appears ever more confused. I dimly see where he was going, I suppose, but a normal person usually notices when they get muddled or they’re being unclear. He just plows on, sort of oblivious.

    Asked by a reporter about a sprawling fraud scandal in Minnesota on Tuesday, Trump went on a rant about Somali immigrants before swerving off into a bizarre riff about Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the 2024 vice-presidential debate.

    “Look, I think the man’s a grossly incompetent man. I thought that from the day I watched JD destroy him in the debate,” Trump said, referring to the televised debate last October when Vance faced off against Walz and MAGAworld declared it a rout.

    With Vance sitting across the table from him, the president then added, “I was saying, who was more incompetent? That man or my man? I had a man and he had a man. They were both incompetent.”

    Given that Trump’s “man” in the debate was Vance—Walz’s Republican opponent in that debate—it appeared Trump was referring to his own VP as incompetent.

    There is, however, another equally damning explanation.

    Trump’s remark in full—“I had a man and he had a man. They were both incompetent. And uh, I had a man and a woman. I thought she was very incompetent too”—suggests the 79-year-old might have forgotten that Kamala Harris had replaced Joe Biden as Democratic nominee. “

  14. Trump knows Vance was a never-Trump’er a few years back. I very highly doubt he has any use/ respect for Vance, and now that he is slipping deeper into the dementia, it is showing.

  15. Well, of course. He learned that word early in his life, as it was used to refer to him quite often, so now it’s all projection with him. Everyone around him is actually incompetent, but in his mind, everyone is dumb, and incompetent, and worthless, and whatever else he was told he was as a child, because he’s the greatest person ever, so if he’s that way, then everyone else has to be as well.

  23. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Trump hates his voters just as much as his opponents.

  24. It’s not “appears”. He did. He literally said both Vance and Walz were incompetent in the VP debate. Then he said some in his cabinet were (And apparently forgets he can fire them…).

    He was clearly trying to dunk on Walz by saying he was worse than Vance, but bashed Vance in the process. I think someone told him Walz was a potential runner in 2028 because he’s doubling down on attacks. And doesn’t realize deploying more people to Minnesota for ICE raids in December is a good way to make a lot of them quit. We should take bets on how many of these idiots are going to get frost bite because they underestimate the weather and are cosplaying more than dressing properly
