International comparison always look better for Finland when starting year is not 2008, because Nokia’s downfall started then. Still better to have no. 1 tech company in Europe and lose it than not having one in the first place.
In the long run almost all countries improved. Of course for many people what matters more is the current situation and in that sense, purchasing power has recently been decreasing.
