EU finalizes deal to phase out Russian gas imports by 2027

1. They’ve already reduced it by 60%, so I think it sounds doable to drop their gas imports from Russia to 0. They were able to make EU members build up a gas reserve too in the event that Russia cuts it off so that it would last many months, but it turns out Russia never could cut off the gas exports because they’re too dependent on revenue to pay for their invasion. It’s going to be interesting to see how Russia evolves after it becomes a pariah state and with its largest energy market before the war closed off to them.
