Gee, who could have seen this coming? Price never seems to matter in politics.
It’s almost as if the basic physics says this is a bad idea and that we tried it 100 years ago and it didn’t work then either.
Not a surprise. For years I’ve been looking at hydrogen fuel promises and wondering when actual physics would break through the hype. Converting renewable electric energy into hydrogen to use as a fuel is just so inefficient, it would only make sense in extreme or niche cases.
It was never anything more than a fig leaf for Germany to pretend their upcoming 20GW of gas power plants are actually “green”. New large scale fossil fuels? Oh no, it will all run on green hydrogen eventually, pinky promise
Hahahaha. In other news; water is wet.
