Bloomberg has overhauled its Japanese-language news website, adding localized features tailored to the preferences of Japanese audiences.

Changes include expanded local-language news content, enhanced multimedia offerings in Japanese, more translations of Bloomberg’s reporting, including investigative articles and economic outlook and insights from Bloomberg Businessweek, and a live Bloomberg TV+ feed with Japanese captions.

“The new website has been redesigned with a singular focus on the user experience for our Japanese audience,” said Marissa Zanetti-Crume, global head of product at Bloomberg Media, in a statement. “From typography to layout to functionality, every detail has been reimagined to deliver a clearer, more engaging experience, while maintaining consistency with Bloomberg’s global experience.”

Hidefumi Nogami, managing editor, Japan Digital Lead at Bloomberg News, led the overhaul. Nogami will spearhead efforts to enhance the volume and variety of Japanese language content. This includes translated newsletters such as Apple and technology reporter Mark Gurman’s “Power On,” an expanded suite of local-language explainers, as well as Bloomberg TV and Bloomberg Originals video with Japanese subtitles.

Bloomberg operates the largest international newsroom in Japan, with more than 100 journalists and analysts based in Tokyo. It also runs “The Asia Trade,” a markets-led daily TV program hosted by Shery Ahn in Bloomberg’s Tokyo studio.
