SGS, a global leader in ICT (Testing, Inspection, Certification), assumes its role as a responsible partner in society, supporting organizations that bring value to the community. For over a decade, the Hospice Casa Speranței Foundation has been providing vital support to patients with incurable diseases, and SGS Romania contributes to this mission through a partnership based on social responsibility and excellence in quality.

Sponsorship of ISO 9001 certification for HOSPICE Casa Speranței extends to 2025

SGS Romania provides auditing and certification for the HOSPICE Casa Speranței foundation in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, an international benchmark for quality management. This certification confirms HOSPICE’s commitment to efficient processes, focused on continuous improvement and beneficiary satisfaction.

The sponsorship of ISO 9001 certification for HOSPICE Casa Speranței is not conditional on commercial criteria, but is a voluntary contribution intended to support the quality of services provided by HOSPICE Casa Speranței to patients and their families.

Starting in 2025, the collaboration between SGS and HOSPICE will be strengthened by extending the sponsorship of the quality management system certification according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard to a second certified location, Bucharest. Thus, in addition to Brașov—a center with a long tradition in palliative care that has benefited from this certification in the past—the Bucharest location will now also benefit from SGS’s support in maintaining and developing quality standards.

The collaboration reflects SGS’s commitment to contributing to the sustainability of non-profit organizations and increasing social impact by reducing internal costs – auditing and certification are covered by sponsorship, improving quality of life – with the ISO 9001 standard guaranteeing quality-oriented processes, which means better services for people with special needs and long-term sustainability – certification supporting continuous development and adaptation to current healthcare requirements.

For SGS, social responsibility is not an abstract concept, but a practice integrated into its daily activities. By sponsoring ISO 9001 certification for HOSPICE Casa Speranței, SGS demonstrates that technical expertise can become a tool for supporting the community, contributing to essential objectives: safety, quality, and respect for life.

The collaboration between SGS and HOSPICE Casa Speranței is an example of a genuine partnership based on shared values and the desire to make a difference. The extension of the sponsorship to the Bucharest location in 2025 confirms SGS’s commitment to supporting excellence in palliative care and contributing to a better society.
