And it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Scotland steals a win over any of these teams.

This seems one of the easier groups. Brazil struggled to qualify, Morocco prob the best team and Haiti is Haiti.

Worth keeping in mind as well that the best 8 out of 12 third place teams also qualify for the knockouts – so 4 points in the groups will almost certainly secure progression, and even getting 3 points with a respectable goal difference should manage it.

Pot 1 was always going to be difficult. Pulling a host was always going to be slim.
Pot 2 outside of Australia I’d argue every team is on a similar level.
Pot 4 Avoiding the playoffs was paramount. Haiti finished behind Curacao. They are also ranked 84.
Its honestly a reasonable second place spot for us. Brazil haven’t been THE team for quite a long time.
Not an impossible group to get thorugh to the next round. The heat for us will be a big problem though. we’ll need to hope that the scotland fans bring the weather with them.
