Re “San Diego is heading in the wrong direction on greenhouse gas emissions, new data show” (Nov. 28): The report on the city’s Climate Action Plan makes me wonder why we are in a position of facing lawsuits from these groups pushing their climate agenda. For starters, there is nothing we can do as a locality that will have any measurable impact on climate, but they are trying to make our lives more difficult in the process. Even Bill Gates and Gov. Newsom have realized that attempting to force evolutionary change into an arbitrary time line will result in pushback from the populace at large. Our elected representatives need to push back on these groups and support the interests of their constituents.
