For 300 a month??? Fuck no, I rent one in the docklands for 100 a month
The renting of them? yes.
That price? No, probably someone paying rent they can’t afford and trying to make ends meet renting out the parking space for their apartment at an extortionate rate.
The price? It is 3 times too high.
During the last boom, there were parking spaces in Ranelagh going for ridiculous amounts.
I almost bought a parking space during the pandemic. It was in D2 and was €8,000 I think. Could have been a nice money-spinner in the long run.
€320 is massive money for a parking space in that area.
They might be trying to circumvent the rent controls by renting the apartment and the parking space separately; there might be an apartment for rent too, but you’ve to take the parking space too.
Yes, it’s normal. Have seen people rent parking space in their drive
Renting of car spaces. Totally normal. Charging €300 a month. Not normal. Not unless I can pitch a tent and live in it.
Yes it is a thing. The only issue is you need a way to stop anyone else parking there and also to ensure the space belongs to the person you’re renting it from.
My space in the middle of Cork City is €100 a month. That’s extortionate.
