  21. Yeah beer prices in restaurants here are usually ridiculous. Not that pubs are much cheaper but always considerably more when eating out. They are just taking the piss with those prices. Then they will cry about how profits are down and expect us to have sympathy for them. It’s amazing how much we are being ripped off in comparison to Europe. Even in cities like Paris I could get a pint with my dinner for like 5-6euro unless I go somewhere super fancy. I was in Athens back in October could get a bread starter a tin of coke and my main for like a tenner all in

  32. Shocking. The cocktail prices in the Galgorm spa are £17 a wack, but that’s not the real sting. The real sting is that they’re poured from a pre-mix bottle, which you can buy at £25 for 700ml.

    If I’m paying the already exorbitant cost of a cocktail, I like to know that a bartender stood there and shook that shit, and not just poured it out of a fucking bottle.

  33. Folks prices will always rise. In 5 years it will be 13 quid a pint. The min wage will be £18. I remember the good old days aswell when a pint was £3. I was on £6 an hour.

  38. I’m a southerner so what exactly explains the absolutely absurd alcohol pricing in Belfast. Central London and Dublin are understandable enough considering that rents are extremely high and there are loads of wealthy American tourists as well as thousands of residents earning huge salaries. I remember paying £7.30 or something for a pint in a bar in Belfast and this was 3 years ago.

  39. Wtaf!? I currently live in a popular, expensive tourist city and those prices are a hard no for me.
    Shit, I was just at a gig tonight in said expensive city and a pint was like half that. 

    There is no justifiable reason to charge that kind of price in NI beyond “fuck these stupid customers willing to pay it” 

    I’m not far off an alco and i’d just nope out and have tap water at that price. 

  41. The restaurant I was in last night was charging £5.50 for a bottle of piss-water Madri. You can get 18 tins of Carlsberg in Lidl for £11 outside sales.

    Fuck the NI Hospitality industry, they’re greedy profiteering cunts. They can hide behind every excuse they want but they’re all owned by greedy rats who would charge for the sausage rolls at their own grannie’s wake.

    But back to the post, the Galgorm group is for wankers here who lap up their inflated prices simply to look better off even though they live their whole adult life being debt slaves to finance companies.

    Their facilities are glorified leisure centres.
