Vilnius County, or more precisely, the Capital Region.
Vilnius staying rich
Not a good outlook for Lithuania to become a single city state. Kaunas and Klaipėda needs to catch up and move the whole region forward.
It’s normal, since government expenditure is one of the main components of GDP, that most of it is spent in the capital city, where most public administration is. That skews the data, compared to more decentralised countries. E.g Germany
Well not too surprising really, Vilnius is the main hub of the country, regardless of where the docks, logistics centers and factories are, the main offices are almost all in Vilnius, so all the money flows thro Vilnius.
