Trump’s plan for AI dominance threatened by his own attacks on solar, wind power. Hindering renewable energy projects risks slowing the AI boom – and will exacerbate rising electricity prices, a slew of data suggests. Renewable energy remains the fastest and cheapest option to add power to the grid.

  1. It isn’t hard to understand the root of the so-called paradox.

    Trump is nakedly corrupt.

    He’s non-ideological.

    Pay to play.

Petrochemical barons paid him to tank renewables, so he’s doing that.

Tech bros paid him to deregulate their industries, so he did that.

    There’s no grand plan.

This is why corrupt countries suck. There’s no rational approach to development.

  2. Trump is a shortsighted thinker. He doesn’t see or care about consequences only the here and now. And if he makes a mistake, as he usually does, he lies or blames others then “saves the country” by changing his mind.

  3. A competent person wasn’t elected President. Elections have consequences.

  4. The foundation of AI is a free flow of information on equal terms, with no preferential treatment. AI cannot accommodate assumptions, so if you attempt to establish evaluation criteria, the results will be inaccurate. The Chinese are aware of this, and perhaps the Europeans are too. Americans like big things: power and control.

    Has anyone studied Marx?

  5. Shame that all the AI companies kowtowed to Trump and shit themselves in the foot.
