ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistani security forces successfully neutralized 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists during a targeted intelligence-based operation in Kalat District, Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Sunday.
The operation specifically targeted members of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), also referred to as Fitna al Hindustan, following credible intelligence about their ongoing terrorist activities in the region. Security forces engaged the militants at their hideout, resulting in the elimination of all 12 terrorists after a fierce exchange of fire, according to ISPR.
ISPR further stated that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the scene, as militants were involved in multiple acts of terrorism across Kalat and surrounding areas.
Sanitization and search operations are ongoing in the district to locate and neutralize any remaining threats, ensuring the safety and security of local communities.
The ISPR emphasized that this action forms part of Pakistan’s broader counterterrorism strategy under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” which has been approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. This campaign aims to eliminate both domestic and foreign-sponsored terrorist threats and reinforce nationwide security measures.
Officials reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to countering terrorism and safeguarding national integrity.
