President Trump is kicking off a national tour to highlight how his policies to reduce inflation and spur economic growth are working, beginning with an appearance in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

Keystone state Republican Sen. Dave McCormick told Fox’s Sunday Morning Futures that progress was being made, describing the economy as a sailboat with the wind in its sails.

“We got wind at our backs with the Big Beautiful Bill, the accelerated depreciation, the money going into people’s pockets, but also the certainty. You know, CEOs like certainty. That allows them to invest,” McCormick said.

He also pointed to trillions of dollars in promised investment from companies such as Nippon or Hanwha and the money that’s coming in to build AI and energy infrastructure.

“So we have made a lot of progress, but there’s a lot more work to do,” McCormick said. “And I think the president will lay out that agenda and how all the policies that he’s put in place are going to help working families, and there’s more to come.”
