The Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies is preparing to mark a historic milestone with the long-awaited Grand Opening of the Mayanot World Center. After ten years of vision, planning, and partnership, the new campus will officially open its doors on December 8, Erev Yud Tes Kislev welcoming guests, alumni, and community members for a day of celebration.

The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, dedication moments, and a rooftop reception overlooking Jerusalem. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the state-of-the-art building, already humming with life as students have begun learning inside even ahead of the formal opening.

Located in the heart of Jerusalem, the World Center is designed to be a dynamic home for immersive Jewish learning. Its expanded classrooms, study halls, and communal spaces allow Mayanot to welcome more students than ever before. The building is also a hub for Mayanot’s fledging Lone Soldier Program and also gives the opportunity for Mayanot Birthright Israel participants to experience a ‘taste of Jewish learning’.As excitement builds toward the Grand Opening, Mayanot is also encouraging those who cannot attend in person to be part of the celebration from wherever they are. To accompany this moment, Mayanot is also launching The Momentum Campaign, a global effort running December 7–11 to raise scholarship funds for students. With a goal of $2.9 million through a double match, the campaign ensures that any young adult who wants to study at Mayanot can do so regardless of financial background.

The Grand Opening and The Momentum Campaign together represent the beginning of an exciting chapter—one that expands Mayanot’s impact and opens the doors to even more future scholars and leaders.
