GDP Growth for EU countries in 2021 according to European Commission’s latest predictions (Autumn 2021 Forecast)

  1. Just for context before the pandemic half of the worlds intensive care ventilators were produced in Ireland. I don’t have a link at present I believe when the pandemic started production tripled in companies like meditech. Also Pfizer and other pharma companies have been busier producing vaccines and other pandemic related output.

  2. A good thing Europe starts up again.

    Do you by chance have data for the EEA-members, and the UK? Europe is not only the EU, you know. Even if I can see you do have EU in the headline, Europe is not only the EU.

  3. Can we have a comparison of GDP decline during corona, so we can actually make sense of this data. Countries that were hit harder during corona, are probably also having more growth now. On its own this is meaningless data.

  4. Yeah, looks great, doesn’t it? Pity it’s nominal GDP. With the huge inflation we have currently, it doesn’t feel like the economy is growing at all, everything just costs more so the numbers look good.
