At the end of last week, Belarus made its first major delivery of medicines to Myanmar, sb.by reports with reference to the Healthcare Ministry’s press service
Medical supplies manufactured by Belmedpreparaty for cancer patients, along with antiviral, antibacterial and other therapeutic medications, have been delivered to Myanmar. In total, 15 tonnes of medicines worth over $160,000 were shipped.
The Healthcare Ministry emphasised that this delivery of medicines fulfils agreements made during a business forum held just before the visit of Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Myanmar.
Belarus’ Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev highlighted that the shipment of medicines to Myanmar clearly demonstrates that when both countries are committed, practical and mutually beneficial results can be achieved.
