That’s what happens when you have lots of very unbiased newspapers that are definitely not run by tories
You mean 2 years right?

The British population is decreasing, who are we building houses for?
We’re all aware that it doesn’t take a year to start and finish a housing project? It takes several years, which means all the houses built under labour this year started during Conservative rule.
During Labours rule, there has been a rise in applications granted but official figures show a fall in new homes completion.
To have a fair comparison, we need to see Labour out in the long run, then look at the figures, and if they’re voted out, look at when the next lot of houses finished were actually started. You could find that they actually did keep to their manifesto, but this early on, you can’t tell.
That’s not bias, that’s just how it is. I’m not a Labour voter and not a fan of how the country has gone so far but I’m not gonna rule out that they can actually get more houses completed/started in the time they have.
If you tell people the reason the Tories aren’t solving certain issues isn’t because of money, but actually their ideology (because they’re evil) then you get into power and don’t solve the issues you previously spoke about then correctly, people think it’s your evil ideology too.
This is the mindset that gave us 14 years of tories, expect more and demand more.
Fear not. The party of ex-tories is going to fix it…
I’m not going to bat for Labour but it’s painfully obvious that most major papers are far more biased against them than they are the conservatives. The amount of bait headlines and storms in teacups they are shitting out to make Labour look terrible is absurd, and they will *never* touch on any of the actual good policies they implement.
I’m not a fan of Starmer but I’m even less a fan of billionaires using their papers to peddle false narratives and sow further division in our country over non issues and then turn a blind eye to corrupt arseholes taking millions in bribes and slinging their mates tax breaks and government contracts.
I hate Labour not because they’ve not magicked a million houses out of thin air, but because they’ve actively made my life worse than doing nothing with their transphobia.
Like, I used to vote Labour before Kier, but now its Green. He was supportive of Brianna Ghey’s mother while Sunak was PM, but now he’s turning his back on us and it fucking sucks. I know I’m a single issue voter in this capacity, but its quite an important issue to me. So fuck Labour, from where I’m standing they’re just red Tories.
Yep. That’s our right-wing press and social media for you.
Tories did a lot – destroyed the fucking economy and now blame Labour
Labour wouldn’t be willing or able to build 2 homes in a million weeks.
They seem to be exceptionally more efficient when it comes to turning trans people into second class citizens, however.
I don’t think this is allowed, it’s not bashing Farage and Reform enough. Do better OP.
I hate labour for the things that they have done, not the things that they haven’t
In fairness the Tories did kind of a lot, most of it damaging. All labour are really achieving is a short term pause on the rate at which reactionary policies are implemented, which is the real problem here.
Not a fan of labour. But genuinely pisses me off how short-termism the media and general public are about the problems in the UK and the difficulties solving them. With the result been “it’s labours fault” 😑
Facts lol. Why are people working themselves into a rage about Labour when they didn’t under the Tories?
It’s only 1.5 million new homes over five years, essentially 300,000 per year, to tackle the UK’s housing crisis, it’s feasible if they pull there finger’s out

Nice to see the weekly post is still going
Well to be fair labour promised on a lot and pretty much anal fucked everyone since being in power. They’ve shown they don’t care about the average person and would rather cry about that wanker Nigel than actually do something. All my friends who voted chose labour, now they don’t want to ever vote again. Everyone knows tories and reform are selfish dickheads but labour promised change and hasn’t delivered.
Firstly, this image is reposted. It isn’t even an old repost, I saw this two days ago.
Secondly, who the fuck isn’t bashing the Tories? They’ve deservedly gotten INSANE amounts of hate, which is the reason some polls put them at having 50 seats next election (a loss of 60 seats). Everybody despises the Tories. The only reason it isn’t in the news is because … They aren’t in power? Why would he need be banging on about the Tory governments when they haven’t been in power for over a year?
Thirdly, the media specifically is definitely more conservative leaning and will bash leftist governments when possible, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore all criticism. It also doesn’t mean we should take everything as they say.
Fourthly, coming off my last point, the Tories being incompetent doesn’t excuse Labour being incompetent.
Fifthly and finally, Labour didn’t help themselves by implementing a lot of unpopular policies quickly that didn’t do much or hurt a variety of people. Inheritance tax on farmers, means tested winter fuel (which got reversed, meaning they admitted they were wrong), supporting the courts decision on trans women still being men, cutting disability support etc. All of that is extremely unpopular, and it doesn’t even make up for it in money gained.
The issue I have with Labour is their budget, which fucks the working class more than anyone else. They should have added tax to empty properties, if you have a property and it is empty for more than 6 months pay 3% of its value annually. This would address all these billionaires keeping half of London flats empty for shits and giggles.
EV tax per mile again fucks the working class, why not add a tax for cars north of 100k so you actually go after people with expensive vehicles not just someone in a model 3 Tesla.
More money to NHS? That’s not going to change anything, the structure needs to change. Invest in establishing single strategy, change the incentives from reducing waiting time to reducing how frequently person returns.
Increase tax by on corporations purchasing single family homes.
And maybe stop spending like crazy, it’s great to help others but you need to motivate people to work. Working people should be prioritised by the NHS, if you pay taxes you are ahead in the queue. The only exception is children and pensioners. In that case first come first serve.
Working people should have reduced fairs for transport.
Anyone who receives benefits should have a credit card, with a limit. Each month you need to file what the money was spent on and if it was luxury or over the top expenses, that amount should be deducted from next month allowance. If you purchase iPhone 17 you better sell it or next month you’ll be fucked.
On top add a mandate you can only spend them with UK retailers. I.e not Amazon, Netflix, etc.
I work in infrastructure dev and it’s insane how much they pissed about for the last 10 years (my whole working career up to the election), changing direction, Ministers revolving like a carousel, strategy, another strategy, another strategy to go with each new PM, Brexit swallowing up SO much bandwidth. And now people are like, “NOTHING IS WORKING AND ITS ALL LABOURS FAULT LETS VOTE LIGHT BLUE HARD RIGHT TORY”, of which their spokespeople are already confusing projects, stating that they’ll pull funding from railways, rip up infrastructure because it’s to “wokey” etc.
Labour are finished.
Has it only been 2 weeks? How time crawls
Sounds like whataboutism to me, reminiscent of Tory voters blaming anything negative on the Blair and Brown governments.
Sadly Labour have practically given Farage the keys to number 10, at this point I just hope they get destroyed in the next GE. Just Tory lite cunts every single one of them.
I’m not Labours biggest fan, I think the PM and the chancellor and a lot of their cabinet and members have made a lot of very serious and damaging mistakes.
The difference however is they feel like mistakes and not intentional to steal from the country.
Also they do need time for policy and bills to take effect, nothing magically happens straight away.
Reform voters seem to have a couple of issues.
Illegal immigrants
Labour have been working to resolve this, admittedly they’re being so soft handed about it that they might as well not bother but at least they’re trying.
Immigration as a whole
Has seriously reduced, they can’t just kick people out who came here in the Boris wave (let’s be honest they should be able to because that was horse shit and damaged the country but they can’t).
The economy…
Well I mean it’s a bit early, they’ve made a lot of mistakes and they seem to be going after the working class hard, not once but twice which is absolute horse shit and they likely won’t win another election due to this, they need a new budget in a year or so where they cut any and all benefits to immigrant and reduce taxes on working people. They won’t so they will lose the next election.
NHS
They’ve done more for the NHS in the time they’ve been in than the Tories did in 14 years, that’s really good but not enough people hear about it or see it which sucks.
Overall they’re better than the Tories but they’re punishing the working class too much, this will sink them.
I hope they never do. New builds are an eyesore and they’re not even built well for the people that move in.
