A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Lisa Dorrian in 2005.

The 25-year-old was last seen alive in the early hours of 28 Feburary in Ballyhalbert in County Down.

Police said the 68-year-old man was arrested earlier on Monday on suspicion of a number of offences, including withholding information and preventing a lawful and decent burial.

He remains in custody at this time.

  1. What a Christmas present for that family.

If they get this it would restore so much respect for the PSNI

  2. Haven’t they known for years?

68 years old must means it’s the fella’s father.

  3. I think about her often, we had mutual friends. I hope her family finally can lay her to rest and get the justice that’s been deliberately kept from them.

  4. Hopefully a step closer to justice and closure for the Dorrian family.

  5. Her dad is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I really, really hope he gets to see her remains recovered and laid to rest.

  6. the psni were so sure loyalist paramilitaries had nothing to do with it so i’m assuming that hasn’t changed right? couldn’t have possibly been a concentrated cover up effort from the UVF.

  7. Been going on a very long time . Please God they find her🙏

  8. Please God, let there be justice for her poor family and her remains returned to them for a proper burial

  9. The alleged perp is already in prison at the moment, isn’t he?

  10. Was 100% linked to loyalist paramilitary, hope they find her and the family can find piece.
