Two of the stars of The Voice Season 28 just shared an unbelievable memory: Meeting Pope Leo XIV.
In a December 8 Instagram carousel, Carson Daly’s wife, Siri Daly, documented the once-in-a-lifetime meeting that was shared with Daly, Michael Bublé, and his wife, Luisana Lopilato. It was a Voice reunion at the Vatican, and the photos of both couples are stunning as they took in the sights and sounds of the historic city.
Bublé performed at the Vatican’s annual Concert With the Poor event, a concert experience that included Pope Leo actually singing along to Bublé’s live version of “L.O.V.E.” Of course, when Bublé received the invite, he wasted no time asking Daly and his wife if they wanted to attend as well.
Of course, Bublé’s live show was just one part of the weekend: A meeting with the Pope himself was also in the cards.

So, what was going through the stars’ minds when they met the leader of the Catholic Church? In a December 8 essay penned for TODAY.com, Daly revealed all the emotions he was experiencing.
“Finally, just one day before enjoying a concert next to him, I met Pope Leo for the first time. So many have asked me how I decided what to say,” the longtime Voice Host wrote. “Imagine, you have somewhere in the neighborhood of five to 20 seconds to say something to the Pope — where do you even start? I racked my brain for something remotely poignant enough for the moment. But in the end, I deferred to what is most important to me: faith and family.”

Daly and Siri share four children, and what Daly said to Pope Leo is enough to warm your heart, regardless of how religious you are.
“Holy Father, we’re so honored,” Daly wrote, recalling what he told the Pope. “I’m Carson, this is my wife, Siri… We ask that you pray for our children, that God may continue to hold their hands when we no longer can. Thank you. God bless you.”
