Latvian Public Media Charity Marathon “Dod pieci!” or “High Five!” will kick off on 12th December evening with a moving charity concert broadcast live on Latvian Radio and Latvian Television.

The charity marathon’s opening concert will be broadcast from Latvian Radio Studio 1, featuring performances by this year’s marathon anthem authors Ralfs Eilands and Lauris Reiniks, the bands “The Sound Poets,” “Tautumeitas,” “YŪT” and “Alejas,” as well as Raimonds Tiguls and Galeniex. The concert will also feature several personal stories from families in which regular rehabilitation and financial support have been crucial steps towards independence for children or young people with neurological movement disorders – the theme of this year’s drive.

The concert will be hosted by DJs Toms Grēviņš, Linda Samsonova, and Jānis Pētersons. The concert will be broadcast live on December 12 at 8:50 p.m. on Latvian Radio 1, Latvian Radio 2, Latvian Radio 5, and LTV1, as well as on the LSM.lv portal and the REplay.lv website.

After the live broadcast of the concert, the charity marathon DJs will be accompanied to the glass studio in Doma Square, where they will be locked in until the end of “High Five!” on 18th December.

Warming up for the charity marathon High Five!, on December 12, starting at 9 a.m., a charity food truck will be driving around the streets of Rīga, visiting four locations in the capital:

9:00 a.m. at the Luminor Bank headquarters in Skanste;
At 12:00 p.m. at the Domina Shopping mall;
At 3:00 p.m. at the Spice mall;
At 6:00 p.m. at the Āgenskalns market, where Meaet Daddy will provide a delicious meal.

Donation opportunities for the charity marathon “High Five!”

The funds raised during “High Fivr!” will be transferred to Ziedot.lv, and the charity organisation will help pay for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic massage, hydrotherapy, and physical procedures that are not directly the responsibility of the state or local government or for which budget funding is not available, but which significantly improve the functional condition of children and young people. Each donation will thus become an investment in a child’s ability to move, learn, become independent, and live a full life.

From December 1 to 18, you can exchange your donation for your favourite song on Latvian Radio 5 via electronic payment on the website dod.pieci.lv. From December 12 to 18, cash and non-cash donations will also be accepted at the charity marathon’s glass studio in Doma Square.

Until January 4, 2026, every Latvian resident will be able to support “High Five!” by donating at “Narvesen” stores throughout Latvia. When purchasing a hot drink in special “High Five” mugs, 10 cents will be donated to the marathon’s cause. Support can also be provided by placing donations in donation boxes or adding a donation to the purchase amount when paying by bank card.

Until January 6, 2026, donations will be accepted on the charity organisation Ziedot.lv website www.ziedot.lv or by calling 90204110 (call charge €5).
