Vice President JD Vance has fired back after a photo online allegedly showed him yelling at wife Usha while the two were having dinner at a restaurant.

The photo showed Vance, wearing a white T-shirt, with an animated look on his face while Usha Vance looks down at the table, the Daily Mail reported.

The photo was posted by Thomas Clay Jr. on Facebook on Dec. 5.

Clay wrote: “Looks like things are not so good in Republicanistan. Usha is a liberal. Always has been. Apparently they were having and argument loud enough to quiet the restaurant. Why is he wearing a tee shirt?”

Addressing the photo in an online post, Vance quipped, “I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife.”

Rumors about the state of the Second Couple’s marriage began to swirl after the vice president was seen in a close embrace with Erika Kirk at a memorial service for Kirk’s slain husband, Charlie Kirk.

The speculation intensified when Usha Vance on more than one occasion was spotted without her wedding ring.

Vance in a recent interview with NBC News dismissed the rumors, saying that the Second Couple find the speculation over the missing wedding ring humorous.

“I think we kind of get a kick out of it,” Vance said.

Speaking of the couple’s high profile in the political world, the veep went on, “With anything in life, you take the good with the bad. You accept that there are some sacrifices and there are some very good things that come along with it, too. But our marriage is as strong as it’s ever been, and I think Usha’s really taken to it, and it’s been kind of cool to see how she’s developed and evolved in this new role.”

Vance did say that the media attention that comes their way has at times been hard on the couple.

“There are certainly ways in which it’s difficult on the family … I’m not going to pretend that it isn’t. But it’s the sacrifice that we signed up for,” he said.

A spokesperson for Usha Vance had previously said that the Second Lady is sometimes without her wedding ring because she “does a lot of dishes, gives a lot of baths and forgets her ring sometimes.”
