Queen Camilla’s grown children will skip Christmas with their mother and King Charles this year.

The Queen has two children from her former marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles: Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.

While Laura stays largely out of the limelight, Tom is a food writer and critic and he revealed the pair will not be celebrating Christmas with the royals at Sandringham in the coming weeks.

Tom reportedly told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential editor Richard Eden, “I’m not [spending Christmas at Sandringham]. Nor is my sister.

“It’ll be every other year, one year on, one year off.”

Tom previously revealed to The Telegraph that he and his sister were asked by their mother in 2024 to spend Christmas with the royals last year following his stepfather King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

“My mum said, ‘I’d love you to come, I haven’t had Christmas with you for a long time’.

“It has been a hell of a two years for them.

“The older you get, the more conscious you become of mortality, especially with illnesses and the rest of it.”

Tom also revealed he would spend this Christmas sleeping on the coach in the living room of the home of his former wife, Sara Buys.

“It’s back to the sofa at my ex-wife’s,” he said.

The couple married in 2005 and share two children; Lola, who was born in 2007, and Freddy, who arrived in 2010.

They separated in 2018 and divorced in 2022.

Meanwhile, Laura shares three children with her husband Harry Lopes, whom she married in 2006.

Daughter Eliza was born in 2008 and was an adorable flower girl at the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Catherine.

In 2009, they welcomed twin sons, Gus and Louis.

Both boys and their cousin Freddy were among the Pages of Honour at the coronation of their grandmother in a touching nod.

The royal family is expected to gather at Sandringham for their traditional Christmas this year, but it will be a smaller group, with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his former wife Sarah Ferguson reportedly uninvited.

This puts a cloud over the plans of their two children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to attend.
