This is a terrible, terrible idea and I have no idea how any respectable politician even came up with it. I’d also like to see sources on that information since Visegrad24’s news quality is disputable.
Such thing would bring more problems than solutions, the thinking heads behind this idea are not the brightest.

There almost was a war in Chekhoslovakia at the time of their split.
The war in Yugoslavia followed by the split cost lives of hundreds of thousands civilians and set back their economy by 50 years.
It’s the third or fourth time in only few days somebody is proposing a marriage that nobody really wants. Just chill people and stop posting this nonsense.

Yea, I feel like that wouldn’t be a good idea. While Polish people now are welcoming and helpful towards Ukrainians, I believe that attitude will grow a bit stale after the war ends. I don’t think anyone will want to take the majority of responsibility of rebuilding Ukraine. I do not mean to downplay the enormous amount of good that is happening right now, all I’m saying is that Polish attitude towards Ukrainian crisis is: They need help right now and that’s most important, but once they’re safe, we’ll be able to return to business as usual

I think that the bonds between Poland and Ukraine are so strong right now, you should just work on keeping that relationship strong – An independent Poland and an independent Ukraine working together in friendship.
Visegrad 24 seems sus. This looks like russian propaganda sowing fear that Poland wants to annex Ukraine. And it comes up at the very moment when Russian propaganda says that Poland wants to take Lviv. Horrible timing for this kind of post. Makes me think it’s not an accident.
We both should have better economic allaiance and support each other politicly, but both countries should be indepandant.
People from Ukraine should be allowed to work and visit Poland very easly, but they are proud nation that have a lot to achive as a indepandent country.
In general more cooperation for the whole region would be advised – it seems that we have different interests than Germany or France at this point.
