Women’s fashion brand Kaiia took a study of the most influential royal style icons on TikTok. Princess Diana, Princess Kate, and Meghan Markle managed to get into the top five, but did not earn the top spot.Kate *technically* earned the most searches for style inspiration overall, but her numbers were still 10 times less month over month than the person who earned the top spot.

If you’ve been on the royals side of TikTok, there are a select handful of royal family members that are considered the definition of style and grace. Princess Diana’s style moments are still getting replicated, reproduced, and referenced decades after her passing, while Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle came after and ushered in a new era of royal fashion for the next generation. But despite that, neither Kate, Meghan, nor Diana topped the list TikTok’s most influential royal style icons.

According to a study from women’s fashion brand Kaiia, Prince William beat out his mother, wife and sister-in-law for top royal style icon on TikTok. Apparently, more than 11.6 million people hopped on Google and searched up “Prince William style inspiration” each month, resulting in him earning a style popularity score of 99 for the study.

While Kate technically earned more Google searches for her style inspiration (to the tune of 14.6 million searches), William earned a total of 600,000 searches every month for his fashion moments compared to Kate’s 60,000.

Though the numbers seem a little shocking, it makes total sense—William’s trendy finance bro-leaning style, which includes an array of quarter zip sweaters, tech vests, casual sneakers and more, definitely appeals to a certain subset of professional men looking for their next purchase. (I, personally, am more drawn towards Kate and Meghan’s Strathberry purses, but that’s just me.)

As for who else managed to round out the top five, all the usual suspect ranked: Diana, Kate, Queen Elizabeth and Meghan completed the list, while the rest of the top 10 were filled out with rising style stars Princess Leonor of Spain and her dad, King Felipe, who earned 99,000 and 100,00 searches per month.

That being said, get a brand new Pinterest board going, folks…it’s gonna be a quarter-zip and tech vest winter if William has anything to say about it!
