Paramedics treated the 36-year-old woman at the scene before she was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Albury said a verbal argument allegedly occurred between a couple inside a car parked outside before escalating inside a home.
It will be alleged that while inside the home, the 36-year-old male smashed a TV and then struck the woman in the head with a glass vase, causing abrasions and lacerations.
Chief Inspector Albury said the woman called Triple Zero (000) and ran out the front of the house to seek help.
He said the man then allegedly entered a Mazda sedan and allegedly reversed and ran over her before fleeing.
