  1. Outside Farringdon yesterday, but with bodycams – perhaps someone said something nasty to them once…albeit given the nature of these individuals I can but imagine they have a youtube channel to call out people who refuse to support them. Probably or something.

  2. Don’t understand how they’re still operating

  3. Often outside the M&S on Southwark St, it’s obviously local turf for them. I’ve always ignored them and they look shifty as fuck. Didn’t realise they were running as scam.

  4. You just have to ask them if they’re scammers, and they’ll start shouting abuse and leave. Charitable organisations don’t do this.

  5. These guys are the new r/london American candy shops. We get it. They’re scammers.

  6. I’m surprised the homeless veterans they claim to support haven’t gone to ” have a word ” with them.

  7. This is the same guy literally shouting at people at Southwark tube last week to get them to donate.

  8. I saw these guys outside a marks and Spencer’s in Buckinghamshire yesterday, so they are spreading.

  9. They tried to stop me in Belgravia last Friday. I marched past and said NO. The man started saying “Don’t believe what you read about us online!” 😂

  10. I was going to say, given the kind of people who would “donate” to this grift, let them waste their money. However, at the end of the month when they have no money left they’re likely just going to blame immigrants.

  11. Right? You never know what you’ll encounter! London’s quirks keep it lively, that’s for sure!

  12. Bring some Monopoly money out with you and donate it I tell them it’s as real as their charity

  13. lol, Sounds sketchy! Definitely not the kind of fundraising we need in the city!

  14. I noticed that there’s a – presumably – legit forces charity inside some stations now (e.g. Farringdon last week). Is that a conscious attempt by TfL to fuck over these scammers?

  15. There was one a while back called Our Brave Heroes, piggybacking off Help for Heroes. They infested motorway service areas until they were outed as walts for wearing Army uniforms.
