  1. Lol i think it does the same for Luxemburg etc. just a warning you’re passing the borders of different countries.

  2. That´s to indicate that it goes through a third country in the route. You have the same warnings if you calculate a route from Amsterdam to Rome, for example.

  3. I wonder, do the Dutch and French people sometimes joke about Sint Maarten being a little Belgium of the Caribbean?

  4. Always have been.

AVOID BELGIAN ROADS AT ALL COSTS

  5. OP is Swedish and is posting this on various subs.

Whatever gets you going, u/fiveoone !

  6. You are driving from amsterdam to Bordeaux, to avoid police intervention and searches of your car it is best to follow the following directions:

    1 Netherlands, amsterdam

    2 Germany

    3 Poland

    4 Slovakia

    5 Hungary

    6 Romania

    7 Bulgaria

    8 Greece, ferry in Patras

9 Italy, arrival in Bari port

    10 France, Bordeaux

This way you will certainly evade any police searches in your car.

  7. It cost them a pretty penny but apparently it’s worth it getting less people from Amsterdam on your roads

  8. Haha, as a Belgian this is 10/10 ragebait. Al die personen die sakkeren in de comments 😅

  9. Do you TRUELY want to go via Belgium? Do you REALLY want to do that to yourself? I can provide other options, you know that right? RIGHT?

  10. I would also want to be warned when driving through this country.

  11. It’s a carry over from Corona times afaik, it says it for any route which passes through another country.

  12. Well, at least you’ll be guaranteed grey skies. Unless it is night time, where you get fully lit motorways.
