Literally just got 1 now and 1 yday and 1 the day before
+44s are a spam epidemic this last month.
yep, at almost one a day for me, which is particularly annoying as I work with a few UK folks, so I have to answer in case it’s something actually relevant to me
Getting about 1 a day now.
I’ve got a few in the past week.
I have been getting tons, always about trying to get me to add a number to WhatsApp for a job.
Of course I happen to be job searching
For the past two months. Lots of +44s from random parts of the UK.
I turned on the spam filter on my iPhone which blocks out any unknowns. I can see 25 missed calls from the past two weeks alone.
My rule of thumb is, if it’s important, they can leave a voicemail at the very least
Yes, with some shite Indeed pre record, where they haven’t bothere including the start of the sentence😂
“Indeed HR” are working overtime.
Constant barrage
t h i s i s a c a l l f r o m r e v o l u t
Yep, just happened to get one about an hour ago.
Never bother answering, if they leave a voicemail it’s usually the fake HSE/Casino shite.
Same. Getting one almost everyday for the past few days.
Yep, very frequent with an automated voice saying they are from Indeed.
I have been getting two a day on average for last number of days
YES. The last week I’ve ONLY been getting English spam
Got a missed call from Greece today. Definitely been a rise in it lately.
By default I won’t answer if I don’t recognize the number and haven’t explicitly organized to receive a call (from like a mechanic or whatever).
If it’s important, they’ll leave a voice mail. If they don’t within 10 minutes the number gets blocked and reported.
Ooh turns out Android also has a caller ID and spam setting to filter out suspected spam calls.
Turned that on now.
After 800 years of oppression I never answer +44 numbers.
The Brits are at it again
Just listened to a podcast about a woman who was trafficked into Myanmar from the Philippines through Thailand to work 16hr days in a scam compound run by Chinese organised crime. This place was in the jungle and was a mini prison for the sole purpose of scamming people in the West. She was trafficked because she spoke English.
Apparently there are loads of them. The compound she was in made 400K a month.
The more you know about this world the worse it gets.
Edited because of silly mistakes
Yes but it’s not a scam , it’s a legit job offer . Just send them money before you get the job like you usually would . It’s great opportunities 👍
