Monaco’s royal family is celebrating a major milestone.
The Prince’s Palace of Monaco has marked the 11th birthday of the children of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene with a new post on Instagram.
“A very happy birthday to Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who celebrate their 11th birthday today,” the post said, alongside a series of never-before-seen-photos of the pair.

The first photo shows the siblings together, with Prince Jacques draping a protective arm around the shoulder of his sister.
The two other images are individual portraits of the twins.
It is the second time this week the pair have appeared in new photos.
Earlier this week, they featured in a photo released by the palace, which will be used in the royal family’s annual Christmas card.

The image showed Prince Albert, his wife Princess Charlene and the twins dressed to the nines and seated in front of a Christmas tree inside the Prince’s Palace.
A roaring fire can be seen in the background while the family dog Harley also made an appearance.
The family’s formal attire marked a departure from the previous year’s card, which saw them dressed more casually.
Prince Jacques is heir apparent to the Monegasque throne, which has been led by the House of Grimaldi since 1297.
Prince Albert started his reign in 2005, following the death of his father, Prince Rainier of Monaco.
He ruled from 1949, including 26 years alongside his wife, Princess Grace of Monaco, who died following a car accident in 1982.
Prince Albert married former South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock in 2011 before they welcomed their twins in 2014.
But their union has been subject to rumours, which started even before they were married, and was not helped by the princess’s sad appearance on her wedding day.

Her bouts of ill health, which at times have led her to step back from royal life and spend large amounts of time away from Monaco, also sparked rumours about the state of the marriage.
However, in recent years, the couple has seemed happier than ever, at least in public.
