China’s chargé d’affaires in Sweden, Wan Degang, met with Sweden-China Trade Council chairman Ulf Pehrsson and board members in early December 2025. The meeting focused on future prospects for Sweden–China economic and trade cooperation.
Wan briefed the Swedish side on the guiding principles and outcomes of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He underlined China’s plans for high-standard opening-up and efforts to create new opportunities for international business partners.
He also praised the Sweden-China Trade Council for its long-term role in advancing bilateral trade and investment. Wan said China is ready to work closely with Swedish companies to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
According to the embassy, the Swedish participants welcomed China’s economic and social progress and voiced confidence in the country’s future development. They expressed their intention to keep investing in the Chinese market and to support further growth in Sweden–China economic and trade ties.
