Could you link the actual article, please.
Btw Iām posting it here because Iām also a job seeker in Finland and Iām wondering why they are actively hiring from abroad when the employment situation here is already bad. Reddit doesnāt allow me to edit on the original post anymore. This is also a topic already on a discussion on Filipino facebook groups who are living in Finland. Itās disgusting so to say.

These ācome to Finlandā agencies abroad are destroying peopleās lives, particularly any of them associated with AMKs.
If there were jobs here for everyone you obviously wouldnāt mind but inviting people to Finland in such a job market is so unethical.
There’s not a thousand jobs in the entire country right now, these guys are high asf
These are not genuine job offerings. These companies are operating as a front for human trafficking networks.
this is honestly disgusting.
Why is it a good idea to not only make the locals’ lives harder but also make the lives of the people who would come here in the hopes of a job hell…?
This isn’t even beneficial expect for the schools and these agencies since often these workers send substantial amount of their earnings back to their home country. But schools are struggling to get enough students which means there’s a risk of shutting down and they do whatever it takes to keep the money flowing.
If it’s such a great opportunity why they need to travel 10000km when there’s literally 500 million people that can freely enter Finland to work here. That’s the question people should be asking themselves over there…
Even if collective agreements obligate employers to offer the same wages, foreign workers are less likely to complain about being run ragged working in a skeleton crew, and definitely won’t do stuff like take prolonged sick leave (especially for mental health issues). The fact that recruitment agencies, who already regard their staff pool as disposable, are still going to these lengths is fucked.
Foreign workers are preferred because they have less employment options and MUST be employed continuously or they lose their residence permit and have to leave.
That means they will accept shitty management, more abuse, shittier working conditions, and less pay than Finnish citizens (who have options).
The current government is also making it easier for employers to take advantage of foreign workers.

This is fascinating. I work for a competitor to these recruitment agencies. We are based in Finland. Obviously we don’t discriminate and a lot of our users are foreigners. But like we definitely don’t go to different countries and ask people to come to Finland.
One of our main business problems is too many people and not enough jobs for those people. (Though I will admit that when it comes to certain skilled jobs the problem is actually not enough people.)
This remember me. My company contract a patent boutique where most workers are Indians. Very fishy to me. For some reason they have much lower costs than any other patent company out there In finlandĀ
Those articles talk a lot about industry jobs (welder etc), so by having absolutely zero idea about state of those jobs, there is option those positions are actually missing workers atm.
Idk about Finland back in the days, but in my country if sector was missing people, there was push for higher wages and reeducation of unemployed. Might be naive ideas, might be no longer working ideas (because again I have no idea about that sector) but its a thought.
This is the same scam has been going on for a while now, anyone who believe in them is delusional

It would be interesting to know the actual jobs on offer, especially in hospitality and services because this is typically the type of jobs that students could take part time.
Those naive applicants will be upgraded to Wolters on fatty bikes once they’re milked out of their savings and debt from their creditors back homeĀ
If they fill jobs that can’t be filled then I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Not all sectors are shedding workforces. The aesthetics are wrong but it isn’t illegal. The market economy is working as it really should, supply/demand and maximum profit to shareholders. These people are coming in as workers that can be taxed right away soon as they set foot on Finnish soil. They’re not criminals and they assimilate well to Finnish and western society. They don’t impose their culture or religion to others.
I thought the law said you aren’t allowed to hire workers from abroad if there would be people in the country available? Guess it’s not that strict šĀ
I’m a native. Can I also get a job?
