We remind you that the live auditions of the artists will take place on December 16 at 11:00, in Studio 2 of the public broadcaster, and the national final will be held on January 17.
The winner will be selected through a combination of votes from a national jury, an international jury, and televoting, each counting for 1/3. The scoring will follow the Eurovision style (1–8, 10, 12), and in case of a tie, the public vote prevails. In the event of an absolute tie, the decision will be made by TRM and the producers.
We remind you that, for the first time, the national final will be coordinated by two official producers: Serghei Orlov, an experienced producer with a long history in Eurovision, and Roman Burlaca, a well-known Moldovan director and producer, with significant contributions to the country’s contemporary music scene.
The auditions will be an essential stage for me, especially since many of the submitted songs sound very good and have real potential. I want to communicate directly with the participants, to understand their visions, ideas, and real capabilities. I promise that the selection will not be ‘dry’ or distant. Even for those who won’t make it to the final, I want this experience to be useful: to understand why they didn’t qualify, what could be improved, and how they can prepare better for a future edition. I want each participant to leave with more confidence and a clear direction for development,” said Roman Burlaca.
Serghei Orlov, musical producer of the national selection, stated:
This year, the pre-selection attracted great interest from artists of different generations. Among the contestants, there are both well-known artists and completely new names. Eurovision on the national scene continues to be an excellent platform for new talents to emerge. In the first stage, we tried to accept almost everyone who applied for the live auditions, in order to give each participant a chance to stand out. Although the song evaluation is relatively subjective, we will be guided by the competition trends of previous years, as well as criteria such as the originality of the song, vocal qualities, stage performance, charisma, and message. The live performance stage will reveal the true potential of the songs and artists. I wish all participants the brightest developments.”
I am glad that artists are interested in this competition. This means that the efforts made by the public broadcaster this year to improve the format were noticed by the artistic community. I firmly believe that we have something to show Europe,” said Andrei Zapşa, Deputy General Director of public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova.
Moldova returns to the Contest this year after a one-year absence, with its last participation in 2024, with Natalia Barbu and In The Middle, which unfortunately did not qualify for the Grand Final.
