The agreement continues Ski Classics significant media presence in the Czech Republic, as Sporty TV takes over the rights. The Ski Classics Pro Tour has been broadcast live in the Czech Republic since the launch of the Tour in 2010. Sporty TV is a new free-to-air sports channel in the market and will be dedicated to providing Ski Classics with broad national visibility and engagement.

“As the Editor-in-Chief of Sporty TV, I want to express how much we value the opportunity to collaborate with such an important partner as Ski Classics. This is a truly significant acquisition that represents a major step forward for our channel and greatly enriches our programming. We would never have imagined that, less than two years after launching the channel, we would be able to proudly present such a prestigious and high-quality product — and we believe this partnership will help us attract new fans and deliver even more compelling content to our viewers. It is a milestone for us indeed,” says the Sporty TV Editor-in-Chief, Jiří Kalemba.

David Nilsson, CEO of Wsportsmedia, also welcomes the partnership:

“We are very pleased to begin this new partnership with Sporty TV. The Czech audience has always played an important role in Ski Classics. With Sporty TV’s strong market presence, we look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality coverage to our dedicated Czech fans. To be further strengthened in a cooperation also between Sporty TV and the Wsportsmedia-owned winter sport platform Bezky.net.”

Under the new agreement, Sporty TV will broadcast the full Ski Classics season, excluding Pro Tour events in the Czech Republic, including live race coverage, highlights, and complementary programming such as Ski Classics Challengers events. The partnership aims to strengthen further engagement with both longtime followers and new audiences across the country.
