Reykjavik (HNRW) — Iceland has announced that it will boycott the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in protest against the participation of Israel.

The decision follows last week’s approval by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) allowing Israel to take part in the contest.

Other countries, including Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Slovenia, have also withdrawn from the competition in response.
