We Finns have it instilled in us to “put our money where our mouth is”. We are the only country who paid WW2 reparations in full.

This is partly the reason (which most of the world do not know and even many of us do not realise) why we have been neutral so long, because we did not want to be dragged to unnecessary conflicts.
On the other hand Immigration by private people is not an invasion. If it was, every country in the World would be at constant war with every other country

Well, they once actually did (after 9/11 attacks) and even though we weren’t even in NATO then we heard the call and were part of the operation in Afghanistan. So it is safe to say we would. And of course there has been lot’s of Finns and people of Finnish decent in the US army for other reasons too. Lots after WW2, including Lauri Törni.
