The data from a public opinion poll conducted on behalf of Delfi show this.
The actions of the current Lithuanian government led by Inga Ruginiene are viewed unfavorably by 73.5% of the country’s citizens.
According to the sociological survey, 39.5% of respondents evaluate the government’s work negatively (8 percentage points higher than in October), while 34% – rather negatively (in October – 35.7%).
Only 0.7% of respondents expressed a positive view, 14% – rather positive; 11.8% of survey participants did not decide or did not respond.
Expectations for the Prime Minister and political favorites
Regarding who would be best suited for the post of prime minister, as before the former head of government Ingrida Simonyte leads – her candidacy was named by 13.4% of participants in the study (in October – 14.9%).
The current head of government Inga Ruginiene was named as the most suitable candidate by 4.5% of respondents, while in October this view was shared by 8%.
The survey was conducted from November 17 to 28 among Lithuanian citizens aged 18 to 75; the margin of error was about 3.1%.
In the context of events in Vilnius, a protest against the government’s plans to influence media work took place, involving journalists and other media workers.
