Greece pledges €20 million to NATO fund for Ukraine

Greece will contribute €20 million to the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), a NATO- and US-developed mechanism to coordinate and fund Kyiv’s most urgent battlefield needs, Kathimerini has learned.

The amount reflects Greece’s current fiscal capacity, officials said. The decision has been formally communicated to NATO and US authorities, who had repeatedly urged Athens not to fall behind other allies in supporting Ukraine.

While the financial contribution is largely symbolic at this stage, it signals Greece’s intention to remain aligned with the policy direction advocated by Washington.
