    For those who don’t know, Katalin Kariko fought funding cuts, misogyny and ignorance to develop mRNA vaccines to the point they would be viably deployable. Normal vaccine development take years, but because she had almost single-handedly ushered through the research required, the tech was available to meet the largest pandemic in a century. It is one of the great miracles of science that her body of information was available at the right time and was able to save millions of lives. The Covid mRNA vaccines were actually the most thoroughly researched vaccines of all time due to her diligent work. Her work should have the notoriety of Jonas Salk, but I fear she’ll never truly be credited because of shit-for-brain frauds like RFK Jr and Neeson. Shameful.
