Why? The Soviet Union have clearly committed a genocide on the Polish people by mass murders such as the Katyn Massacre between 1939-41 and 45, I remember my Grandma told me horrific story of how she and her family survived in Siberia until Hitler invaded the Soviet Union. So surely the Russian Assets would've been enough to cover the damages by the Soviet Union. Let's not forget when the Stalinists continued murdering people during the post war.

wake up honey, new “where reparations” just dropped
Seizing ruzzian assets is s universally good thing to do
Will never happen because people would be asking for reparations from the *cough* other *cough* side as well.
The Swedish deluge was deadlier than the Soviet invasion proportionally speaking
the only reason russia still does what it does is because the Soviet union never faced the consequences of its crime. the people running it just suddenly became critical of it and no one really admitted they were wrong
xD what a ridiculous idea… however, any idea that hurts russian butt is good, so…
Don’t forget about mongols
At this point everyone might as well start stealing from everyone else for the crimes of their ancestors. That’s insanity.
The point of spending frozen Russian assets is not that it’s morally justified, it’s that we’re at (proxy) war with Russia right now and should try to harm it by taking away its funds. Just give it to Ukraine to spend on killing russians. The idea that we deserve some of it for WW2 is baseless.
And how the are going to convince Putin to do so
As Czechoslovakia we should have gotten reparations as well after WW2
War reparations exist, but for Jews, not Poles. As the saying goes in Poland, “Sausage is not for dogs.”
Poland can start a war and get a lot of land. What a reason to talk about a thing that was achieved thanks to blood of Ukrainians?
The soviet union doesn’t exist anymore. Even in the picture, they’re in Lvov which is in Ukraine now. Why not just invade Ukraine and take it back? Seems like a popular thing to do these days.Â
What an idiotic take.
Why didn’t you want our planes to help Czechoslovakia, you wanted to shoot down the planes so that we wouldn’t help Czechoslovakia
Stupid trolling
Poles trying not to sabotage Ukraine: challenge impossible
How about Uuga Durga paying reparations? During neolith they raided Ooga Mumba’s cave!
Yes, everything has to always be about poland.
And in this particular case because Ukraine didn’t suffer under Stalin I guess? /s
I mean, normally I would agree but at least for the moment Ukraine needs those more.
Definitely Russia has to lose something after the war.
I still don’t understand why the EU just doesn’t seize all Russian assets and donate the cash to Ukraine. It’s probably billions, if not more of basically free money
That’s the idea I can get behind
So take Eastern Poland back, and Putin will not mind.
Screw that, we should just ride them with Mongolians!
Can’t wait to see the MPs agree with you – the same ones that pass a statue of a communist on their way to vote, the same ones that were shocked to hear a certain Polish MP shout “death to communists”. Oh wait, they won’t.
Petty arguments about war reparations are pretty stupid all these years later but I’m on board with them if that means taking money away from vatniks
For some reason this sub popped out.. the first thing i see is poland begging for money.
Dont worry i will hide and mute anyway. Just curious..
It’s about time someone held Russia accountable for its past; let’s make those assets work for justice instead of just sitting around.
Not soviets and nazis but Russians and Germans.
Nice joke. What else would you desire?
Czechoslowakia 1938 scenario. I dont need your money at all but i have a issue if it goes to Ukraine.
LOL
Perhaps Poland will compensate Russia, as the legal successor to the USSR, for damages for Poland’s actions during the civil war? And, of course, the territories that belonged to the Russian Empire in 1918 must be returned.
