People aged 16-17 are a very, very, low % in most western countries (voters aged 18-30 are usually only around ~15% of the electorate) so doubt this will affect politics much
But social media will give you the impression that a huge portion of our population is teenagers and college students lol
Maybe we should wonder why some organisations push to extend voting rights to categories of people who should definitely not vote.
Instead of extending voting rights to new groups, the question should be asked why large parts of the existing voters do not participate.
