1. Really cool they are still in decent health and able to celebrate! We’ve had relatives make it to 99, but I can’t say they were cognitive enough to celebrate those milestones.

2. Mel Brooks was 95 when he wrote his incredible autobiography. I highly recommend the audiobook. He’s still sharp as a tack

4. Do you think at any point Dick Van Dyke referred to Mel Brooks as a “up and coming Hollywood youngster”?

5. This man has witnessed 40% of our country’s history. Pretty cool.

6. I can imagine it must be a relief at that age to have a peer, especially one still sharp as yourself (in addition to mutual respect and friendship regardless of age of course)
